Depends,
If you are talking about exploring in virtual mode where you move through the route by pressing buttons or you can virtually walk around an area, that is virtual mode.

GPS replay is where you can take a walk and record the GPS signal for later playback. You will move through the trip played back in real time getting intersection and POI announcements. If it took 20 minutes to take the trip it'll take 20 minutes to play it back. You can even check the speed you were walking/riding at the time. With GPS replay you can even convert the replay into a route giving you turn by turn on the trip you took. So if you had to go through a park or a field the replay is a better function as it records where you were taking into account the turns you made even if you were not on the street. You can't move through a park or a field in virtual mode. Virtual mode is tied to the streets.

I hope we are talking about the same thing, where you can sit in a room and
let's say you want to go to a Park, so you put in the desstination and where
you start from and it just simulates it. Correct?

Kawal.

Hi,
Just for completeness, the BrailleNote and Sense devices have been able to do
this for years. It is called GPS Replay.

This was how it was when GEO was in operation.

Actually you cannot do that. What I'm talking about is simulator route and have
it go through the route is if you were driving the route or walking it.

As I recall, you can already do that. Just create a route to a POI, then hit the
"route details" button to see a full list of turns. The only thing lacking is a
way to set your virtual position, so any route you explore in this manner will need to
begin where you are physically located.

Hello all, I'm just writing to ask would it be possible in the next version of
Seeing Eye GPS could we have a way to do a virtual view so we can do if
simulation of a route? I would also like to be able to have the PO wise
announce whether there on the left or the right side of the street as you pass
them. What do you all think?
