HIMike:
Tjhanks for the clarification. I'd be interested in this product since I need to familiarize myself with the keysoft word processor program. I currenytly teach a blind student the use of a note taker with a braille display. it seems that the student will be receiving the braillenote. However, the voicenote will assist meto learn hwoto teach the student the commands for the word processor program keysoft. I already have t the commands for this program in braille.

I mentioned this in passing and wanted to be more specific. The VoiceNote
Classic works perfectly but it is running an old version of Keysoft. Please
write me off list if you have an interest and explain the use. There would
of course be no support with the donation. It would be up to the user to
figure things out.

HiMike: You mentioned that you have a braillenote classic to donate. Since I am blind myself and am teaching a blind student the use of a note taker the braillenote is the notetaker this student would be using. I'd appreciate the
braillenote classic so I canf amiliarize myself with the braille display,
the use of the thumb keys to read braille on the braille display and to
learn how to use the keysoft word processor. Please email me offlist: at
sasararooz@gmail so I can provide you with my address in the U.s..
I currently teach as a certified teacherof the blind and visually impaired
the useof a note taker to a blind student. Thanks in advance.

Laurent,

This is great that you guys are up for organizing this event.

I will be at an event in Milton Keens Saturday from about 4 PM through
the evening. If Saturday was much preferred, I could probably do
something until about 2 assuming it would take me an hour or so to get
to Milton Keens.

What about Friday at 5?

BTW, I have a BrailleNote Classic as well to donate somewhere.
Mike

Hi Peter!

Yes, it would be great to meet up at last -- I've been hearing of you
/ from you since we first spoke about sending that old BraileNote of
mine to Ethiopia, which is a while back.

Mike, are you available on Saturday the 20th, or only on the 18th and
21st?
I agree with Peter that trains in England are often spotty on Sundays
due to engineering works, which doesn't make a Sunday impossible, but
can just add to unforeseen delays and some rise in blood pressure!

Who else on the list would like to join?

I think that it would probably make sense to meet up at a major
station like King's Cross, which is familiar to many people due to its
proximity to the RNIB, and quite central in terms of getting somewhere
else.

I would envisage starting off at about 11ish, giving us some margin
for any delays etc while catching up before navigating towards lunch.
This way, proceedings can develop organically, giving us a day to wirk
with as well as any amount of the evening that people are up for.
What do you guys think?

Stay well
Laurent

Hi Mike/Laurent/All,

Having been snowed in for the January day, I'd definitely like to
make this one, and if there's anything I can do to help with set up
Laurent, let me know. I'd prefer Saturday 20 July to Sunday, and
trains are better for people to get into London, but in any case,
count me in.

Best,

Peter

Hello UK Friends,

We had such a good time in January exploring London with our GPS in
spite of the snow storm. I'd like to come back when it is less
likely to snow, perhaps July 18 or 21. Wondering who might be
interested in coming and/or organizing an event.

I will be at Sight Village on July 17 but Birmingham isn't the best
place to do serious exploring although we could do it there if it
was more convenient for folks. I am thinking London would be more
interesting. What do you think?
