Subject: [gps-talkusers] Work around for Media Volume Decrease
Not Working

Hello Everyone,

There are a number of ways to work around this problem of not
being
able to decrease the media volume while in GPS. You can enter
GPS
options and decrease the media volume in there, or go into any
command which then prompts you for keyboard input and decrease
the
media volume before exiting that option. Some of these commands
are
Route commands "R", Find poi's "F", Address lookup "Space S",
Multiple Repeat "M", Look around Options "Space M" etc.

I hope this helps, and again I am sorry for the inconvenience.

How long will that be? I always have media playing while using
GPS. Could you just send out a patch instead?

Hello everyone,

If you have a media file playing while in GPS pressing Enter plus
Dots 1 & 3 will not decrease the volume of the playing media
file. I
didn't realize this was the decrease media volume key combination
and
used it for debug testing of routes. I left this in when I
released
the GPS program so that if issues arise we could ask the user to
press this key combination when speaking with a tech support
person
at Sendero so we could get more information about what is going
on.

This will be fixed with the next release of our software and my
apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Hello,
I am confused here, are you talking about the gps program, or are
you talking about the media player on the braillenote.
If you are talking about the media player, to increase volume, it
is
enter with dots 4-6 and to decrease volume, it is enter with dots
1-3.

Alex,
I just tried this on a VoiceNote mPower and can raise volume but
with the
space dots 1,3 the volume will not be decreased as this key
command is used
for additional information in route functions. This is primarily
for
debugging information and may have been left there from the beta
testing. I
will notify Charles and he will take it from hear.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Media Volume Decrease Not Working

Hi all,

I have noticed an annoying thing in version 3.5: the media player
decrease volume key does not work. It displays some strange
thing that I cannot remember, but the media can only be turned up
or paused/unpaused. Is there a fix for this, or a patch or
something? BTW, I am using a BNMPBT.

Thanks,
Alex
