Hey everyone. I notice with the newest version of the seeing eye app, there is no longer an option for what map source to use, just was wondering which source the program is using now.
Now for my suggestions. I notice in the manual it says to not really rely on the app features that run in the background, I disagree. While walking, it's often difficult to access on screen information, there are a few things that I would like to see added to what is spoken when the program is running in the background. First, when your direction changes, this should be spoken. Also, on the screen, as you approach a street, the distance to that street shows and decreases as you get closer. It would be very nice to be able to have this spoken while the screen is locked rather than to just announce the street itself when you are close to it. Finally, there needs to be a way to adjust the speaking rate of the voice that is used when running in the background. The default rate is quite fast and it's easy to miss something, blindsquare is able to do this, so it is possible.
