I think that Mike deserves a big thanks for everything he has done,
especially in the last week. He flew to Europe and the UK, trying to expand
the POI database, since the current database was so small. The main reason
he deserves a thanks is because, if it was not for him we wouldn't have this
great tool that is available today, and the GPS provided by Sendero is the
best GPS that is out there in terms of the POI database and the structure of
the GPS program from start to finish.
So, thanks Mike and keep it up.

To give users an example of points I recorded while in Spain and the UK, check out the following. I have stripped off the lat/lon from the first half of these points I recorded in Barcelona and Madrid. You can see in the second half how the lat/lon is paired with the name of the point. This is how your User POI files appear once they are converted from the BrailleNote compressed format.
Notice when I record the bus stops, how I try to use consistent language, which would hopefully make sense to another user. I also annotate restaurants worth mentioning. Most importantly, I take every opportunity to record points particularly because the POI data in Europe is weak. I really should add a comma and the city name after each of the points but there isn't always time when walking to do this. I'll follow the Spain list with UK points. On June 1, these and other points contributed by users will be included in the Europe, U.S. and Canada User POI files posted at <file:///http://www.senderogroup.com/download.htm>http://www.senderogroup.com/download.htm. I encourage everyone to add to this collective user POI database.
