For POI's, I like the way it is now. The way Trekker handles this is
that only POI's that are designated as favorites are announced at higher
speeds.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] auto announce speed for POIs

As I indicated, intersections will be able to be announced always, under
15 miles per hour or under 40 miles per hour, which will be the default.

What about auto announcement of POIs. Do we want them under 15, under 40
or always? It seems most straight forward to set them the same as
intersections.

One thing to consider is that when you are following a route and/or when
you are in a vehicle traveling at 35 miles per hour, there can be a lot
of chatter if intersections and POIs are triggering.

For those of you who know our other products, we handle LookAround
information differently when a route is active verses when there is no
route running. This is the ideal solution but for now, we need to choose
the default for POIs.
