The 8GB card should theoretically work in a BrailleNote Original as well as
the PK.
The 8GB Sandisk card I just got did work in the PK but it very shortly,
erased itself and could not even be reformatted. It is on its way back to
Sandisk and we will have a replacement in a week or so. I of course don't
know yet if this was unusual or problematic of an 8 GB card. I'll assume it
was just a one time failure.
I'll let you know once I have a replacement card and have used it for a bit.

You can use an 8GB compact flash in your PK if you want to. That would hold everything and more! Some folks use a 4 and a 2 and this will hold everything. Most folks just use a 1GB and that will hold about 1/5 of the country.
