[gps-talkusers] getting back to last direction given

Hi,
I apologize for asking these 2 questions again, but I can't find the
answers that I thought I had saved.
When you are trying to follow directions, sometimes some other thing like a
POI for example, gets announced, and then you can no longer reread the last
direction by using enter or the repeat command. How do you get rid of the
extraneous announcement and get back to the last direction given?
And how do you make gps reflect where you actually are rather than where
you were last time you turned it off, in the wrong city or whatever?
