Hi, Yesterday I wrote with some questions about mapping but neglected to talk about how much fun we had with the GPS on our first trip out of state. I was surprised at how easily it helped navigate out of the airport car rental area, recognizing even the service drives. We did not have much success using the GPS on either airplane, for some reason we just could not get a signal but I've used them on airplanes before and they can help much with the boredom. I found it easy to mark my own points of interest and return to them with pinpoint accuracy. In addition we did some walking on a well-known trail, which would not normally be mapped, but it was easy to mark waypoints of various turns and curves in the sidewalk for later use. In short, it was great fun, and very helpful. One thing I learned rather quickly is to be careful about telling my wife when she had missed a turn, smile.
