Yes, but the discussion was about gps apps and google maps was one of those
apps.  The programs you are saying are not accessible are not gps apps.
Google maps is indeed very accessible using voice over according to many
blind iPhone users.

Someone asked examples how Google is failing on accessibility. I just gave
one. So, in general I think they are failing in their web development
(Google Docs, Spreadsheet to name some important ones), but they are doing
ok on iOS and Android platforms.
