Let me try to rephrase what I was asking. There are some states that require two or more maps, I thought I read somewhere that there was a file detailing which cities are in which map. Although it is not recommended to divide states by not using one or more maps, I would like to see the file in case I need to. Is the .cty files the ones that contain that information?

I have been corrected and learned something. The .cty files in the maps
folders can be read with a text processor. I have tried and it works well
with MS word, MS notepad is limited to the number of records, so it is best
to use word. Just set the file type .cty to open with word.

If you really wanted to know all the cities in a state, you could press
Space and Enter on the city field of an address match to generate a
complete list.

Dave,
There are no files that I am aware of that lists the city's on the state
maps. If the state has multiple sections there is a document file on the
included CD in the documents folder that will list the city's contained in
each section. If the maps are in one section the map will contain all
cities in that state.

If you are attempting to read the .cty file in the maps it can not be
read. As it is a copyrighted database file.

Hi,

What is the program that is supposed to open the files that list the
cities on maps? Adobe Reader tries to open the file but says that it can
not. I'm using Adobe 7.
