Can I just use my existing cf card, delete the maps currently in it and just put the new ones in there? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles LaPierre" <charles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Rich,

Did you create a folder called maps on your CF card?
You can't have another folder under that or the maps won't be
found. So your directory should look like
Compact Flash/Maps/
then all the files for the state/province or region you want.
For example with the state of Alabama

Compact Flash/Maps/Alabama-2008.rmf
Compact Flash/Maps/Alabama.cty
Compact Flash/Maps/Alabama-2008.tmb
Compact Flash/Maps/Alabama-2008.str
Compact Flash/Maps/2008_poi_alabama_core.pdb
Compact Flash/Maps/2008_poi_alabama_core.rmf
Compact Flash/Maps/2008_poi_alabama_bonus.pdb
Compact Flash/Maps/2008_poi_alabama_bonus.rmf

Hope this helps
Charles.

Hi all:
With v 5 installed on my mPower:

I unzipped the new york maps on my pc and then copied that folder
below a folder I have on my 16 gig cf card called maps.
But the bn says no maps found when I put it into the slot and launch gps.
Your thoughts?
Rich
