Does the new app take advantage of the ability for apps to use the built in TTS in IOS 7? If not, this would be a great feature and would allow the program to work when the screen is locked. I realize this would exclude anyone who is not on IOS 7, but those users are probably few and far between, and there is no reason not to upgrade.

We would like to thank Ilka of BlindSquare for the technical information he provided that sped up our inclusion of background operation now a feature of Seeing Eye GPS 1.3. In this small blindness market, it is essential that we work together to achieve the common goal of independent navigation. I have had the pleasure of speaking with Ilka and know that he listens carefully to his blind testers as is evident in the excellent Blindsquare app, which he has created.
I am certainly one who uses both Blindsquare and Seeing Eye GPS for situations and I like to participate in the Foursquare game from time to time.
