Hi John/All,
Steve is kind of right, in that the Apex doesn't charge through it's
USB port, but you can in fact charge it with the MyCharge. I made a
cable with a USB plug at one end and the Apex DC plug at the other,
and it works well and has got me out of trouble when away from
power. I don't know how easy it would be to find such a cable
ready-made, but if you get one made up you just need to make sure
it's centre-pin is positive.

does anyone know if the my charge would charge the new u2 mini or an apex.?
thanks I cannot seem to get it to charge these devices.
it will do the nexus 7 and iphone.
would be handy if it did the u2 I though on the podcast Chris did
it worked but maybe of course he used an actual u2 not the mini
