I save all my routes to the same CF as my maps, POI's, install file, and backups of the manuals and command documentation. so I have: /compactflash/gps/routes, or same path/maps and pois, or /docs. I just give my routes meaningful names and have no trouble. Except for ease of finding, I do not think the GPS program cares where the routes come from.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] what to save

Hi,
Typically is it worth saving virtual mode routes?
I can understand the necessity for saving GPS routes.
Is there a recommended folder or place to save them.

I was looking up a virtual route from my place of work which is
disney Travel to another place I had to be tonight.
Because the starting point was Walt disney Travel company I was
asked
if I wanted to save the virtual route in my existing disney
Travel folder.
I didn't save it because if it is better to put routes in one
specific folder then I don't want them spread all over the place
thus
making it harder to find what I want.
Thanks for input!
John
