Hi,
Ah yes, and then there's toad-in-the-hole, which is supposed to be some sort of English sausage cooked in Yorkshire pudding batter, served with vegetables and onion gravy.

But we Americans have food and drink with peculiar names, too. There was once a brand of beer called frothingslush and another called Greasy Dick; don't know if it's still available. I mentioned this to a beer-drinkin' buddy of mine not long ago and he mentioned that it was actually spelled Griesedieck.
