[i3] Unicode in Window Title

I have set the window title to use the:
# font for window titles. ISO 10646 = Unicode
font -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--13-120-75-75-C-70-iso10646-1
but still the title can not display (for example Japanese chars):

Do you guys know what could I be missing?
