Is there a way to indicate focus a bit stronger?
You can change the color of the focused window, see the user’s guide:

Ah, yes - I've overlooked this part of the config. Thank you! But it's
only allmost what I want (the 1 pixel thin frame is ok):
client.focused #4c7899 #ffff00 #ffffff
Gives me a "nice" yellow frame around the focused window - that's
good. But unfortunately, the focused "tabs" on tabbed containers are
screaming in yellow, too :s I assume that I have to take one with the
other, don't I?
Hmm, well. If I make the text blue, I can at least read it:
client.focused #4c7899 #ffff00 #0000ff
Seems to work :)
