Your point about poor netiquette is well received.  The number of
of Tamil posts and users are too small to start a separate list
  

So make it easier to filter out Tamil mails by tagging such mails.   

Please consider that this LUG is hosted Tamil Nadu, and therefore
has an obligation to promote FOSS especially in Tamil.  I agree that
it's a different matter if someone posts in Swahili.
  

You have to recognize that there are lots of people subscribed to this
list that do not speak Tamil and this is a mailing list with English as
the established common medium of communication. 

Also consider the fact that the Tamil localization team is a very
small group of passionate developers.  Localization is essential in
enabling millions of non-English speaking Indians to use computers.
  

No preaching about Tamil Localization please.  I have been played the
role myself and I doubt Linux Indic localization is actually helping a
substantial population at all but that is besides the point.
