AFAIK Windows does not update time automatically unless you installed
any speical software. correct me if I am mistaken.

In Windows XP, in Date and Time Properties, there is a tab called
"Internet Time". I am almost sure that my laptop at least, came with
"Automatically Synchronize with an Internet time server" enabled and
time.windows.com as the only server in the server list.
