Hi
I installed BharateeyaOo (OpenOffice 1.1.4 Tamil) from the C-DAC-CD exactly
following the instructions in the CD in a system having Mandriva LE 2005 which
has Gnome 2.8. It got installed without any problem. The menu and tool bars are
displayed in tamil. However, when I use the tamil ttf fonts, only some junk or
english characters are typed.
Before luanching Openoffice, I changed the keyboard layout to Tamil in Gnome. I
have also installed JRE 1.5 and made necessary changes in the .bash_profile
file. I used the "spadmin" tool to change the default fonts in Boo.
The windows ttf fonts Ks_kamban and Ks_Ivvayar are working fine. I wonder why
the C-DAC and other ttf tamil fonts are not working?
Did anybody face similar problem with ttf fonts availabe in the c-dac-CD? If it
needs any additional tweaks let me know.
