I never used Linux to check mail nor used Emacs. I use web mail
clients or Outlook Express(Hotmail account) to check mail. I do
subscribe to lot of mailing lists at Apache, CVS, PostgreSQL. This is
the only list I came across which behaves like this. Now I will hit
Reply to All in Gmail web UI.
I searched in the archive at
yahoo(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ilugc-archive/) to find out why
ilugc behaves like this. The search results showed no relevant
information. So can any one please tell me why people dont like to
reply to the list but to individuals.
I have some more suggestions.
1. Put a link to a searchable list archive in the mail subscription page.
2. There is no link to Wiki in the home page.

No, this is a standard feature in mailing lists. Mail reader are usually
powerfull enough to provide two functionalities: use the `Reply-To' or the
mailing-list.
Ofcouse, we can manually edit these too.
For emacs+gnus lovers, you can type f/F to reply to the mailing list and
r/R to reply to the author (much the same feel as when readin news from
nntp servers).
