It would be best to build the RPM in an environment where it will be
used including it's specific version i.e. CentOS.

With Virtual Box, it is quite easy to setup a VM with CentOS guest and
carry on your RPM build process in it.


Ok, forgot to update. I have setup my VMware with CentOS and the
compilation has gone good, and have started writing things needed for
packaging.
