We are interested in hiring a linux system administrator for
development and maintenance of linux services in our organisation.
The existing infrastructure consists of a hand full of servers and
some 200 windows/mac clients, and a small army of IT staff to keep it
all going.
The position is for a full/part time job at our Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai
office. Job timings are flexible. The ideal canidate is expected to
have -
1. good exposure to linux (debian favoured.)
2. be able to use vi.
3. setup samba, apache, sendmail/postfix/exim, bind, dhcp, etc.
4. self-motivated and identify/deploy interesting packages that
can benefit the organisation. ie. a general problem solver.
For the right canidate, the pay package is not an issue. Students are
encouraged to apply for the part-time position (2-3 half days per week).
