[Ilugc] Display problem!!

Every time I boot into Linux RH-9, the Xwindows does not get
loaded but instead flickers between a black screen and a switched off
type screen display. In the text console; by the time I type in username
and pwd, the flickering behaviour contiunes in CUI too. But the display
does not go off, instead repeats this black~off flickering.
My display adapter is SiS 6326 h/w version 146. But during boot time the
display is correct. The XConfig appears to be right as such!!
display the output of the following.....

less /var/log/XFree86.0.log
That would tell us where you are going wrong.
