[Ilugc] Do Wine installation help in playing PC games in Linux

Hi Guys,
 Have any1 tried playing PC games like call of duty - morden warfare / need
for speed in linux? DO we have any alternate games in the same nature ?

Does Wine Installation help in playing such games in Linux ?

I use Ubuntu 9.10 on a AMD 64/Nvidia/1 gigs machine.
