Hmm... I'm curious how some of the USB devices I see in the stores
here are handled, then. They are dual-purpose - for example, a USB
flash drive + a wireless mouse. If you plug one of these into the
computer's USB port, two devices are detected - a mouse ("Human
Interface Device") and a drive ("Extenal Mass Storage").
