I am using Intel WinterPark Server as my squid Proxy
sever which has inbuild 2 ethernet cards.
1) Intel Corp. Pro/1000 (etho)
2) Intel Corp. Pro/100 (eth1)
while booting up, the system detect the eth1 (pro/100)
but not eth0: the error as follow:
etho card detectd: but seems to be not present
in gui mode, if I use 'neat' command I can able to
find both the card eth0 and eth1 as
Gigabit Ethrnet card (eth0)
pro/100 Ethernet card (eth1)
if I use 'ifconfig' only eth1 and lo are present. and
the system becomes dead slow and none of the
applications are working. If I delete/disable the card
in gui mode the system is working at its speed.
I have also used the command 'lspci | grep -i eth' it
shows

02:1.0 Ethernet controller Intel Corp: 8201EB Pro/100
VE Ethernet controller (rev 01)
how can i enable the Pro/1000 (gigabit card) and make
it work.
