[Ilugc] FC4 Xconfig problem

hello,

I have downloaded & installed FC4 dvd  . I have an HCL 15" LCD Monitor.
Originally fc4 graphic mode had problems(monitor goes to stanby mode), 
so i installed in text mode.
When FC 4 starts the monitor goes blank. So i went to runlevel 3.  . 
/usr/bin/setup is not working.Monitor goes to standby mode.
Is there a text mode xconfig tool for fedora core X (FC3 ,FC4 must have 
similar tool). I also tried manually configuring
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.
