Dear All,
I have conducted a One-day FOSS Seminar at Kalasalingam Institute of
Technology, Krishnankoil (Near Srivilluputur) on Thursday for the 2nd year
students of CSE/IT Dept.
Fedora-12 was installed in 35 machines using kickstart/remote installation
(totally 3320 packages installed including all Multimedia Packages and codecs)
Demonstrated various FOSS tools (Office/Internet/Development/Multimedia etc)
and finally I also demonstrated Web based Conferencing using BigBlueButton
(www.bigbluebutton.org) and Fedora-12 DVDs were given to them.
I would like to thank Dr. S.R. Srikumar (Principal), Mr. Nagarajan (Staff/CSE)
and HOD of CSE/IT for granting the opportunity.
