Xchat.org has released a new version (XChat 2.8.4) which has proxy
traversing support..So it works in colleges..Guys in xchat.org has also
compiled and released a windoze version download it from

Codeblocks is a wonderfull IDE..www.codeblocks.org its available in fedora
repository too.
For databases use mysql
