We organized a Workshop on Scientific Computing with Python from 11-12 Jan 2010
and FOSSEE Team, Led by Mr.Asokan Pichai, FOSSEE Consultant and three Research
Associates-Shantanu, Puneeth & Nishanth conducted all the sessions.
43 students and staff got benefitted, covering 8 engg. departments and three
colleges. Could not invite more faculty from other colleges in time. No
registration fee was collected from participants. The FOSSEE team provided all
participants with LivePython DVD's.

The good thing about FOSSEE Team is that they have put even negative comments
also in their workshop reports which is highly appreciable.
Thanks to one of the ilugc members query which prompted me to come in touch
with Mr. Asokan and this workshop was the result of it.
Best wishes to AVIT Foss Team who have also called FOSSEE Team to conduct the
same workshop. My only advice to them is that the fee for Industry participants
could be reduced.
