Current Steps for Registration
1. Login here http://registration.fossconf.in/web/register/ and give
username and email address
2. You will get a key in your email
3. clicking on it takes you to
http://registration.fossconf.in/web/adduser/[some<http://registration.fossconf.in/web/adduser/%5Bsome>autogenerated
number]/ where it asks again for username and password. on
giving username, password and confirm password, it goes to login page
without saying anything
What needs to be changed here
1. Step 1 is good and let autogenerate password here and send to specified
email here instead of making 3 steps registration process. lets give the
user the flexibility of changing the password at first login.
2.http://registration.fossconf.in/web/addtalk/ and
http://registration.fossconf.in/web/managetalks/
should be visible only after user login. say user home page.
Bug kind of....
1. After receiving key from the registration email, if i once registered,
key should not be active again. but at present it still active. i go there
to re-register and if i give username and password (both same) , it shows me
the exceptions (IntegrityError...). we need to avoid this.
Usability issues
1. After receiving key from the registration email, i go there to register
my username(re-entering). it would be good if it automaticaly shows the
username rather than re-entering
Logo / Name correction
i see the text "FossConf". i guess it should be FOSSConf rather than
FossConf as FOSS is abbreviated to Free and Open Source Software (correct me
if i am wrong). what Foss mean here? can someone please explain.
