[Ilugc] File permission backup

hi,

Is there a way to backup only filenames and permissions and then restore
them.

What I want to acheive is as follows

There is a directory /mystuff
1. I want to recursively change the permissions on that dir to me:me
2. Test something
3. Change back the permissions to original.

Is this possible.
