[Ilugc] Filtering `New Packages' in aptitude

Aptitude shows the packages which have shown up since the last update
in a separate section called `New Packages'. Now, the trouble is this:
I want unstable to be in sources.list so that I can updates to the one
or two packages I draw from unstable, but I want to see what's new
only in testing, as it would give me some level of assurance about the
stability of the package. Any suggestions?
apt-show-versions?
The trouble is not with finding out where the package is from, but
from making it hidden from the UI. One option is to choose a default
package limit of "~Atesting", but when I ask aptitude to forget the
new packages list, it will forget all packages, even those from
unstable. This means that I would never get to see them as New
Packages when they migrate from unstable to testing...
it moves on...
