Chennai Jan 31: FossConf is a Free and Open Source Software
(FOSS) conference organised jointly by Indian Linux Users
Group - Chennai and NRCFOSS from Fri 1st to Sun 3rd Feb 08
at MIT Campus, Anna University, Chromepet, Chennai. The
conference focus on awerness creation and to encourage new
FOSS users and contributers.
The term FOSS refers to softwares, whose license give you
the freedom to run, study, modify and (re)distribute the
software.
The speakers are Behlendorf Brian, Apache,Co-founder;
Umashankar IAS, MD,ELCOT; and many FOSS developers,

Apart from the talks, tutorials and discussions, an expo
and an OpenLab is also being concurrently organised to
showcase the FOSS to public.
This conference is powered by CDAC, ELCOT, IBM, Intel and
ZILOGIC. It is open to all and entry is free.
