Regarding FOSSConf-08 several questions/doubts/objections
were raised. Let me try to answer/explain some of them.
a.Decision making. Who and how?
This conference is jointly organised by ILUGC and NRCFOSS.
We have formed a committee to take responsibility for
conducting the conference. From ILUGC side following
are members

The members were those who were active in organising/
participating in previous events[ some declined due to
various reasons].
NRCFOSS has nominated few members Dr.Srinivasan,KG,Shriramdas,
Ponnusamy.
Most of the decisions are taken/will be taken after due
consultation with committee members.
b. New Members : We welcome new members, if they are willing to
be 'physical volunteer'. They have to take responsibility to
co-ordinate a task - like publicity, stall arrangement - etc.
They must be able to spare time during the event, be present
there, organise.
More important take responsibility for fame/blame for the
success/failure of the event.
c.We (here I mean the committee members) are NOT interested in
'spamming' (borrowing word from vaidhy) the list. As of
now only points raised were related to logo, website.
Whenever we feel, it is better to get opinion from larger
segment we approach the list.
d.I will be posting a summary of what is going on in the
committee once a week now onwards, and once in 2-3 days
from Jan 15 2008 onwards. Hope that will not be considered
spamming.
e.All your suggesstions can be recorded in the wiki pages
of registration.fossconf.in.
f.You can also send me mail offlist for anything related
to the event.
I request all of you to take interest in making the conference a
grand success.
