Hi all,
The members of the Chennai GLUG are organizing an event this Saturday (22nd
June 2019) Evening at FSFTN Office. This week's agenda is the open source
board game called "Commons Poly <https://www.commonspoly.cc/>". The agenda
involves, downloading the game, printing it out and cutting those printouts
to create the board, cards and other game assets. Its a fun game and its a
lot more fun with a good amount of people to play it with. So on behalf of
Chennai GLUG, FSFTN invites you all to play Commons Poly board game at
FSFTN office.
*Some Trivia about the game:*
The game was made as a tribute to the board game called *Landlords
Game* by *Elizabeth
Magie*. The LandLords game was supposed to make the players understand the
undesirable events that unfolds when a mojority of the places in the game
were owned by a very few people. Then later this game was sold to another
company and that company made the game into the popular *Monopoly. *Ironic
right? The game's whole meaning has changed.
