Hi All,
Intro about dhvani:
As we all know dhvani is a Text to speech system for Indian languages.
It has a lot of scope if developed well. There is a lot of work to do
(writing documentation, packaging, adding different voice, writing
code, testing) but we don't have people to work on that. I, Shrini and
Mohan are the contributers now. It will be great if people could start
contributing to dhvani. It is a good project work for college students
and those who want to get exposed to real life coding.
Crowd funding:
Is it a good idea to get some funds through crowd funding for getting
some developers in? Please provide your thoughts on this. At least
through funding we can get some more people to work on this project.
Please provide list of desired features, ideas on how to distribute
the funds, how to evaluate people who want to code etc.
Note:
This is just an idea. Anyone can participate in improving dhvani or
take responsibility of managing the crowd sourcing work. Volunteers
welcome as always.
