Subject: USB not automounting in LIVECD

<!-- Hi all,
I have created livecd using cloop compression mechanism and the root file
system what i have taken for livecd there USB is working fine its automatically
mounting and opening in browser but when i created Livecd out of that file
system then automounting is not working....
what may be the problem-->
I got a solution for this.Actually my root file system is mounted on /UNIONFS
directory so udev an pmount were checking in /dev and changed to /UNIONFS/dev
so its mounting now.BUT as i told u desktop icon is not coming.
I have set up gnome-volume-manager, and when I plug a USB drive in, it gets
mounted (generally at /media/USB DISK), and a nautilus window pops up, showing
it. However, no desktop icon is created, and so I cannot find how to umount it,
short of running the 'umount /dev/sdwhatever' command, but I would prefer a GUI
way. The panel mounter thing doesn't seem to recognise the USB disk.
Can someone help me find out why the icon is not being created and/or how to
umount it without an icon? Even I checked configuation editor .There
volumes_visible is checked and other hardisk partitions mounting and desktop
icon is visible on desktop (becuase they have entry in /etc/fstab) USB is
mounting without /etc/fstab entry so how can i do that?????????????
Thanks.
