Subject: Weeks of Contribution - WebExtension Learning

Dear Contributor,
I am reaching out to you to sharing about the interesting learning
project. After a small survey understood many felt it is difficult to
develop a similar Firefox Extension.
Lot of changes have done in Firefox Add-ons(WebExtension). Now it got
easier to write them. And if we write it once we can easily run it in
any major browsers like Chrome, Edge. To help you get started with
WebExtension I am arranging a small series of session (each 1 hour)
and around 15 session will be conducted. As a part of Weeks of
Contribution program we are starting with WebExtension development.
This time we are dedicating one area at a time and for longer period.
To join in this session it is enough to have basic HTML,CSS and JS
understanding. You can learn more about the session in the below given
link [1] and the tentative agenda is shared in below link [2]. Please
signup [3] for the program so I can share schedules related to event.
A greatest contribution in open source community is spreading the word
about it. It will be really great if you can spread about the event in
twitter. MozillaTN has made an official tweet [4]. Retweet if you
think it will be helpful for your friends.
The ultimate aim of this session is to bring 1 add-on per developer
and upload to AMO. And after event we are planning for offline
hackathon and related to this more updates will be coming as the
session is going.
All the contents in the session are brought based on the knowledge I
gained. As the program evolves we can improve it and learn from each
other.
