The Java User Group in Chennai is conducting a Code Retreat on Dec 15th:

when 150+ Cities around the world host a Code Retreat on the same day.
Code Retreat is a great way to improve one's programming skills. It's a day
long event where the focus is on writing code better. The event is
language-agnostic; participants can choose which ever language they want to
work with.
