Will these kind of petitions help in India?
I feel that if people put in a lot of effort, it may definitely help!!
But, the task does not end in writing petitions.. It just starts with that!!
The bigger move is to convince and train the personnel, especially the core
management, in the respective open source arena..
I have seen many people telling that they are used to that XP Screen /
Office Features and it will be difficult to change!!
They easily forget that they went through vast transitions from
Handwritten --- > MS DOS - Windows 98 - Windows 2000 - Windows XP (and
moving on........>>).
Thus, Resistance to Change and Reluctance to learn new are the major
issues.
But, Change is the only thing that does not change!!
Once we get over these things, (provided good help comes out even for silly
questions) Everyone will be prepared to Change!
