The same is true for Debian. Is it so on *all* GNU/Linux systems?
The same on slackware current too
For the simple reason that I dont think Bourne Shell is available under
GPL. It'd be under a bsd style license I guess - which is why it is
available as a shell on freebsd (bash is something you'd have to install
as a separate package - its not part of the base system on freebsd)
