[Ilugc] [Hardware] Anyone know where I can get a LIRC-compatible IR receiver and remote?

Many years back I had tried one. The receiver was made by soldering the
components as per the drawing in the LIRC doc. I tried with three remotes -
2 unknown brands and one of sony. It worked with all three. I forget the
details but I remember, the sony remote's signal was distinctive from the
other two.
