linux admin in a company for the past 3 months ,
-i'd gone through the post in slideshares.net about upgration of firefox
in RHEL 5
-As we are using RHEL 5 in your company.........default firefox version is
firefox 1.5,i tried to update firefox version
-As per one of website knowledge,following steps are
1.Downloaded the tar format of firefox-3.6.28
2.Moved to the /usr/lib/ directory
3.Untarred downloaded firefox in /usr/lib/
4.#cd /usr/lib/firefox
5.#./firefox
6.A message box had opened then i set web browser as default
7.After that i closed the browser,then i went to the
applications->internet->opened browser,still the older version is hold as
a
default web browser
-How can i resolve this......problem?
-Could you help me to fix this?
