[Ilugc] How to compile for .ko module?

Dear Friends,

I am working on my ADSL USB Modem of Touchtel to work with Linux. I am 
trying accessrunner and olitec drivers.
In Olitec, modem driver is compiled as e2.o module. When I load e2.o, it 
says "Invalid module format".  Since my linux is 2.6.8.1 which can load 
only .ko module, I need to  Please let me know how to convert (compile) 
this module as e2.ko.
