The log says it can't write to boot.ini under C:\
This is due to the admin privilege restrictions you mentioned before.
To make sure, you can try running this in command-line and see what it
says:
Start --> Run --> cmd
attrib -r -h -s c:\boot.ini.

Friends.
One of my friend got a laptop from his office to work with windows
installed.
It has only C: partition and he has no admin rights.
I suggested him to install ubuntu using wubi installer.
The installer throws "Permission Denied" error.
The log file is here.

How to install ubuntu using wubi as a normal user in windows?
Thanks.
