What about janani gopalakrishnan who wants to
consolidate our troubles with Microsoft and possibly
send it to them:-)
Send it to them, and what? You need to think twice before you fling such
baseless statements at a straight-forward and principled journalist!
If I like a new feature in a M$ product, I will write about that. If I do
not like some aspect of GPLv3, I will write about that as well. I will write
what I believe in, as long as I have the knowledge, facts and expert-backing
to comment on it. But I will make it clear what I plan to write about and
what I plan to do with the inputs I collect from the community. If you
noticed (which I am sure you didn't), I clearly stated the reasons for
seeking inputs from mailing list members. That added context and meaning to
the discussion -- unlike THIS unjustified statement of yours.
And sir, I might run Windows on my laptop (which is probably the next thing
you'll point out in your pointless discussion) and I might not contribute
code to FOSS projects, but in my profession, I practice the philosophy of
freedom as much as possible -- which might even be more than what you do or
can do in yours. Publishing most of my work (including my articles, photos,
blogs, cookbook content etc) under Creative Commons is just one of them.
If you want to discuss this further, do so offlist with me, please, without
wasting everybody else's bandwidth!
