Dear all,
On behalf of ILUGC, myself conducted a one day awareness program on FOSS in
Angel College of Engineering and Technology, Tiruppur (
http://angelindia.com/acet/) on 31/08/10 for the Third and Final year CSE/IT
students totalling 200+.
Mr M.Nageswara Guptha - HOD/CSE, United Institute of Technology, Coimbatore
(www.uit.ac.in) who was the Chief Guest inaugurated the Angel FOSS Club.
30 seat FOSS lab was setup in the college using Fedora-13. Also distributed
copies of Fedora-13, OpenSuSE-11.3, Ubuntu-10.04, Edubuntu-10.04,
LinuxMint-9 DVDs to the students.
I would like to thank the Principal, HOD of CSE/IT for the support in
organizing the program.
